the joy of seeing

The studio will be closed from Sunday, March 13 to Saturday, March 19. I'll be away in NYC participating in a photography workshop with Jay Maisel shooting, discussing, eating and breathing photography.

Because my studio assistants will be away as well, any inquiries as to bookings, album orders etc. can be handled via email at marjorieamonphotography@gmail.com.

we interrupt this blog for 2011

2010 has been a big year for me in so many wonderful ways! Life is everything I never expected and more, and I am grateful for the double blessings of family and friends.

I am grateful as well for all my lovely clients who have become friends. Thank you for inviting me into your lives and for allowing me to be a small part of your beautiful Big Day. Borrowed, blue, old and new, you provide me with the inspiration - and the details - with which to create memorable images.

2011 is taking me in many new directions, and the year promises to be nothing short of amazing! With the launch of my new facebook page designed by Social Girl Media, I plan to branch out big time into the whirl/world of social media. Watch for the official unveiling!

At the end of January, I look forward to photographing the Academy Ball in Philadelphia. In February I will be back in studio happily photographing vintage jewelry for a client writing a book on the subject. And in March, I will be in New York City perfecting the art of street photography with the renowned photographer Jay Maisel. April begins wedding, portrait and event season for Marjorie Amon Photography, and I look forward to each and every one I will be photographing during the year.

Here's to breathtaking photography and a sparkly, spectacular New Year!

As ever, xoxo,
Marjorie

Imagine ... John Lennon's Blog

"It's hard to believe he would be 70. It's hard to believe he missed out on the computer, on Twitter. I wonder what he would have made of it all. I have a feeling he would have grabbed and run with it. John Lennon, who gave so much, he would still be at the forefront."
